Invention history
Frédéric Guez French osteopath (PhD), specialist in neurorehabilitation, co-founder and CEO of the Essentis® Method
Family history:
His great-great-grandfather Louis Forest, a Parisian cabinetmaker, created one of the first X-ray tables in 1910. His father, Gerard Guez, patented the Essentis® Pillow in 2000. And Frédéric invented and patented The Emtable® ACTIVE medical device in 2019.
The Emtable® ACTIVE stretcher / medical device It is the result of years of clinical practices serving pediatric and geriatric patients.
It gathers in its DNA 3 ideas:
ADAPTATION TO STRESS
The TURN rocks the patient thus reducing their stress level. This generates, the camouflage strategy, behavior based on the observation of the chameleons.
INCARNATE COGNITION
Based on the 1987 theory of the Chilean neuro-biologist A. Varela: Subjecting the body to rhythmic (mechanized) stimulation generates optimized cognitive capacities and facilitates the creation of new reflex arcs (brain plasticity)
EASIER SECRETION OF eNos
With just 30 minutes of stimulation on the active device, nitric oxide (eNos) levels increase exponentially. ENos is considered a fountain of youth enzyme for its vasodilator properties. In order to optimize nitric oxide secretion, the patent is based on a complex algorithm: structure / function / efficiency / biology / biomechanics.
An external study was carried out in 2020 in the Orpea® group and we managed to be awarded the “International Award for Innovation (Orpea® Award 2020)” on the benefits of its use in elderly patients. In 2020 the famous “Financial Times and Bloomberg” made articles about this award.
